In November 2020, I defended my PhD Thesis on climate change litigation. Currently, I research the rights of nature. With my colleagues Nena van der Horst, Kinanya Pijl and Eva Vermeulen I started the initiative Scholars United for a Sustainable Amsterdam (SUSA) - an interdisciplinary platform for academics who want to work on realising the Doughnut Model in the city of Amsterdam.
I work as an assistant professor for the Amsterdam Centre for Transformative private law (ACT) of the University of Amsterdam. I am one of the Dutch national experts in the UN Harmony with Nature program. For an overview of publications, see my profile at the UvA website.
